Kara Franklyn was born in Southern California but grew up in Walnut Creek where I went to school there, fought and played with my brothers and sister there, had my first heart broken there and made lifelong friends that no matter where I live will always be there for me! I have lived in several cities in California. From Monterey to Tahoe, DisneyLand to the San Francisco Zoo, it just doesn't get much better! I am married to my best friend, Pete makes me laugh, think and care about what is happening in our world! I am blessed to have family and friends who care about me and laugh at my really dumb jokes!!
Last week I was telling you how sedate I had become, no motivation what so ever! Over the weekend, Pete and I went to a party and we were looking at the pictures and I didn't even recognize me!! Granted the photographer who was taking the pictures used way to much flash, but still!!! So I decided, that's it, I am so done complaining!! Alot of my co-workers go to Planet Fitness, they kept telling me it's only $10 a month! I've seen the commercials and they make me laugh, so I figure, hopefully they make me MOVE!! I am an offical member of Planet Fitness, gulp!! I thought if I blog about it, talk about it, there is no way I can weasel my way out of working out! So, here's to a slow start, but a start!!! Keep sending me motivational thoughts! I sure could use them! I'm thinking I might need some workout partners, so if you happen to know anyone who might want to join me, email me!!! And hopefully I'll see you at the gym!
I am not a fan of Horror movies. In fact, I try to avoid them at all costs. In my mind, the classic, "Wizard Of Oz" is a horror film! I know one of the all time favorites, visually stunning, creative and all that, but it scares me to pieces! Those flying monkeys scared me as a kid and continue to scare me as an adult! So, Saturday as we were getting ready to go out, I found myself watching, "Zombie Apocolypse!" I hated it, but it for some stupid reason caught my attention and I had to see how it ended. What a dud! It was wasted time I will not get back!! But then Pete and I went out and I found myself to be a bit jumpy!! It stays in your head and you start to think, maybe...just maybe...? Ya, I know, flying monkeys and zombies not in this lifetime, but I can tell you this, it's another movie I am crossing OFF my list!! I will stick to my Disney movies!!!
I went online to see what was happening in the area this weekend! All I can say is, don't even say there is nothing to do!! If anything, there is TO much to do!! From the play Frankenstein happening at MJC to the Zombie Apocalypse Haunted House to corn mazes, pumpkin patches and so much more! PLUS, tomorrow from 9am to 3pm, Modesto firefighters will be out in front of Costco at Pelendale with their Fill The Boot campaign for M.S.!!! R.A.M. Farms is having a costume contest for dogs on Sunday and there are zip lines ar Dodasa Ranch....Should I keep going? Like I said, so much to do, so little time!!! Check out the Sunny 102 web page for all your haunting happenings and maybe I'll see you in a corn maze!!
