Kara Franklyn was born in Southern California but grew up in Walnut Creek where I went to school there, fought and played with my brothers and sister there, had my first heart broken there and made lifelong friends that no matter where I live will always be there for me! I have lived in several cities in California. From Monterey to Tahoe, DisneyLand to the San Francisco Zoo, it just doesn't get much better! I am married to my best friend, Pete makes me laugh, think and care about what is happening in our world! I am blessed to have family and friends who care about me and laugh at my really dumb jokes!!
Today is September 10th, yesterday I went to the store and found myself going down an aisle that was full of...... Halloween candy!! Really??? Literally there is 41 days to the actual event and the candy is there, in full force! I love Halloween. I love the kids dressed up, the excitement and sadly most of all I LOVE the candy! I know there are people out there who will buy Halloween candy today, tomorrow, this weekend and it will still be there ready to go on October 31st. Sadly, I am not one of them. One year a friend of mine suggested put them in the freezer you won't want them when they are frozen. Thanks alot Kristy, frozen snickers are now one of my top favorites! Other people say, use a ladder and put them in the back of a cupboard, tried that, the candy literally woke me up in the middle of the night, calling out my name!! I know, scary, right? Another friend told me to not buy chocolate, get little packs of gumm and stuff I didn't like, guess what? Almost the entire bowl wasa still there by the end of the night!! I couldn't give that stuff away!! ugggg! So as you can see, I am not the type of person who can get their candy waaaay before Halloween and have it still there on the actual day. Well, I could try a week or two before, I can show that I am motivated to not eat the candy until it's time to give it away, but then I think, if it tastes that good, just a taste or two every so often shouldn't hurt.....right?!!!
