Spanish alternative pop/rock band Garijo Mambrú, name based on a popular comic, got involved in the local scene in 1996, self-producing a demo in 1998, followed by an EP called Four. In the year 2000, Garijo Mambrú signed up to GPSmusic, making the group's debut album, produced by Paco Trinidad. After months of recording sessions, Physis was released in May of 2001.
