Biography
The host of a prog rock radio show in Edmonton, Canada, Alan Burant released the first record of his material with 2000's Occam's Razor. The guitarist and songwriter who hosts The Erotic Dancer's Guide to Fine Music, Alan Burant produces music that runs the gamut over the progressive rock spectrum. His music is strongly influenced by Yes, Gong, Queen, and King Crimson. He formed the progressive rock group Occam's Razor in 1996 in Edmonton. Although the band was originally planned as a full-fledged group, the restraints of making a living reverted them to a supporting group for Burant, although much of the material on Occam's Razor had been part of the band's repertoire in concert.
