Biography
From the start, Trunk Federation knew they wanted to be different. Their video-game-sounding indie rock brought a unique vision to the southwestern indie rock scene from their start in Arizona in the mid 1990s with their first singles. The Winnie seven-inch came first, released on Medical Records in 1995. Hi-Fi For Small Fry soon followed, as the second in the series. The Young Cherry Trees seven-inch came next, completing the trilogy. Soon after forming, the band shared stages with the likes of Love Battery, Archers of Loaf, Poster Children, and Killdozer. After a performance at the ~South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, the band signed to Alias Records in 1996, and went into the studio with producer Alex Newport. The band's debut full-length, 1997's The Infamous Hamburger Transfer on Alias Records, springboarded the group to new heights. 1998's The Curse Of Miss Kitty came next.
