Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, singer and songwriter Todd Alsup fell in love with classic 1960s soul and 1970s pop while still a kid, and his passion for it has continually informed his own music. After Alsup relocated to New York City, his piano-based songs and strong expressive singing gave him a strong following on the East Coast. He released a debut EP, Facts & Figures, in 2008, and his first single, "The Good Fight," earned him a ~Billboard Underground Artist profile that same year.
